Inside the villa
Set within a 5,000-square-metre private estate in the Benimussa hills, Casa Muca is a secluded five-bedroom property surrounded by green Mediterranean gardens. The architecture combines clean, modern lines with organic textures. Inside, concrete walls and tiled floors keep the spaces cool, while wide sliding glass doors draw in the natural light and frame views of the mountains and the sky.
The interior design incorporates subtle Balinese influences alongside rustic elements. In the main sitting area, a large beige sectional sofa offers a comfortable space to gather around the fireplace or watch the satellite TV. A distinctive glass coffee table resting on a driftwood base anchors the room.
The dining area comfortably seats ten guests for indoor meals, served from the fully fitted kitchen. Throughout the house, underfloor heating and central air conditioning maintain a comfortable climate, while an integrated music system allows you to set the tone for the day.
Bedrooms and outdoor spaces
The sleeping arrangements consist of five double bedrooms, designed with a clean, hotel-style aesthetic. Each room features crisp white bedding, waterhead wood accents, hypoallergenic mattresses and soft duvets. Large windows or private balconies provide plenty of natural light. The bedrooms also include practical additions such as walk-in cabinets, air conditioning, safe boxes and hair dryers. The property includes seven bathrooms in total, equipped with either spacious showers or comfortable bathtubs.
Outside, the expansive lawn is dominated by a twenty-two-metre swimming pool, which is long enough for swimming laps. Sunloungers line the water's edge, offering a space to rest under the sun. The grounds are fully fenced and gated, ensuring privacy and security, with a CCTV system in place.
Covered terraces extend from the main house, providing shaded areas for relaxing. An outdoor dining space and barbecue make it easy to prepare and enjoy meals outside. As the day ends, the elevated position of the estate provides clear views of the famous Ibiza sunset.
A typical day at Casa Muca
Casa Muca is well suited to families and groups of friends seeking privacy and space in a natural setting. The large, flat lawn is a practical feature for children to play on, and the property allows pets, meaning the whole family can travel together. The secure, gated nature of the estate provides peace of mind for those wanting a quiet, discreet environment.
A typical day here revolves around the outdoor spaces. Mornings might begin with a swim in the long pool, followed by breakfast on the terrace. The extensive gardens offer quiet corners for reading or arranging a private massage under the trees.
In the late afternoon, the group can gather in the outdoor living areas to prepare a barbecue. As evening approaches, the west-facing terraces become the natural focal point for watching the sunset over the hills, before moving indoors to the comfortable, minimalist sitting room.
Exploring Benimussa and San Antonio
The villa is located in the quiet residential hillsides of Benimussa, situated between the centre of Ibiza and the west-coast town of San Antonio. This position offers immediate access to peaceful countryside while keeping the island's more active areas within easy reach.
San Antonio is known for its broad, yacht-filled bay and lively atmosphere. The town is famous for the Sunset Strip, home to venues like Café del Mar and Café Mambo. For those interested in the island's nightlife or dining by the marina, the town centre provides plenty of options.
Several beaches are located along this stretch of coast. Cala Gració and its smaller neighbour, Cala Gracioneta, offer sheltered swimming, while S'Arenal and Caló des Moro provide alternative spots for a day by the water. Inland, the nearby traditional villages of San Rafael, San José and Santa Inés offer excellent local restaurants and a slower pace of life.
