A restored 16th-century finca
Can Savasana is a 500-year-old traditional property set high in the pine-covered hills above Ibiza's west coast. The house sits on a vast 50,000 square metre plot without any immediate neighbours, ensuring complete privacy during your stay. The grounds incorporate a Mediterranean garden, an active vegetable patch, and extensive lawns framed by traditional dry-stone walls.
Inside, the restoration respects the building's origins while introducing modern comforts like air conditioning, ceiling fans, and Wi-Fi. The interiors feature thick walls and exposed Sabina wood beams, decorated with a distinct creative style. You will find Balinese fittings, patterned tiles, and unusual artworks collected from around the world, giving the house a highly personal, lived-in character rather than a standard minimalist finish.
Living spaces and outdoor areas
The main living room is grounded by exposed stone walls, a central fireplace, and large, colourful sofas arranged around a solid wood coffee table. A fully fitted kitchen provides everything needed for preparing meals, which can be served out on the terrace where an al fresco dining setup and an outdoor bar wait under the shade.
The house sleeps up to ten guests across five double bedrooms, three of which have en-suite facilities, bringing the total to four bathrooms. The top-floor master bedroom is a notable space, featuring direct access to a 100-square-metre private terrace that commands the best sea and sunset views on the estate.
Outside, a large infinity pool is set into the lawn, lined with yellow beanbags and white four-poster daybeds. From the water, the view stretches across the green canopy down towards the sea. For groups travelling with younger children, the pool can be fenced upon request.
Privacy for families and groups
With its generous scale and isolated position, Can Savasana works well for large families, groups of friends, or couples seeking space. The layout allows guests to gather together by the pool or find their own quiet corners across the extensive grounds. It is also a practical choice for those planning a wedding or a special event, given the lack of neighbours and the sheer size of the plot.
A typical day here revolves around the outdoors. Mornings might begin with coffee on the master terrace, looking out over the water. Afternoons are easily spent moving between the infinity pool and the shaded cabanas on the lawn, perhaps preparing a barbecue as the afternoon cools. Because the house faces west, evenings are defined by the grand sunsets that this side of the island is known for.
Exploring Cala Salada and San Antonio
The villa is positioned in a quiet residential hillside, yet it remains close to the coast. A five-minute drive takes you to Cala Salada, a cove surrounded by pine forests known for its clear water. Other nearby beaches include Cala Gració, Cala Gracioneta, and Caló des Moro, offering a variety of swimming spots within easy reach.
Ten minutes away is the town of San Antonio. Here, you have access to a broad marina, supermarkets, and the famous Sunset Strip, home to venues like Café del Mar and Café Mambo. For a change of pace, the traditional inland villages of San Rafael, San José, and Santa Inés are also a short drive away, providing access to local restaurants and quieter rural landscapes.
