A contemporary coastal home
Villa Ivy sits on a hillside in the southwest of Ibiza, designed with wide expanses of glass that pull the outside in. The interiors centre on a coastal aesthetic, pairing light timber finishes and crisp cotton fabrics with modern furniture and considered lighting.
The layout is highly sociable. A professional-grade kitchen, equipped with stainless steel surfaces and a dedicated wine cooler, flows directly into an open-plan dining space. From here, the sea and the surrounding pine forests remain a constant backdrop, particularly as the afternoon light shifts towards the famous western sunsets.
Terraces, saltwater pool and private spaces
The six bedrooms are spread across the property, each offering an en-suite or adjoining bathroom. Most of these rooms open onto their own private terraces, giving guests a quiet space to take in views of the Mediterranean, the sunset, or the green canopy of the surrounding hills.
Outside, the grounds are built for long days in the sun. The saltwater swimming pool, which can be heated, is framed by a wide terrace with large day beds and bright blue beanbags. For those preferring shade, two four-poster beds sit beneath the mature trees.
Dining outside is straightforward, supported by a barbecue and an outdoor music system. As evening approaches, illuminated steps lead up to a roof terrace, providing a clear vantage point to watch the sun drop below the horizon.
Designed for families and entertaining
Sleeping up to 12 guests, the house works well for large families or groups of friends wanting both shared spaces and private corners. Children have plenty to keep them occupied, with a dedicated outdoor play area featuring a trampoline, a tree house, and table tennis.
Adults can use the gym equipment, book a treatment in the massage area, or practise in the designated yoga space. A typical morning might begin with a coffee on the roof terrace, followed by a short stroll down to the white sands of Cala Tarida. After a long lunch at the nearby beach club, afternoons usually revolve around the pool before gathering for dinner at the alfresco table.
San Jose and the southwest coast
The villa is located in the municipality of San Jose, a relaxed but upscale region set beneath Sa Talaia, Ibiza's highest peak. The nearby village of San Jose serves as a hub for the area, offering a mix of traditional architecture, local gastronomy, and an unhurried pace of life.
The surrounding southwest coastline is known for its premium properties and excellent beaches. Beyond the immediate access to Cala Tarida, a short drive takes you to the sheltered waters of Cala Vadella or the wider stretches of Es Cavallet and Ses Salines. For a change of scenery, Ibiza Town and the cliffside village of Es Cubells are also easily reached.
