A Two-Century Estate
Set on a private 30,000-square-metre estate near the southern tip of Ibiza, Villa Margo is a restored stone finca with two centuries of history. The property consists of two connected houses, offering a quiet setting surrounded by natural landscapes that flatten out towards the open water and salt pans.
Inside, the restoration respects the original architecture with thick walls, heritage beams, and warm plaster. The spaces are designed to feel unhurried, with sunlit living rooms that transition naturally into shaded lounging areas. The interiors are furnished with considered pieces that create a calm, grounded environment for groups to disconnect.
Living and Leisure Spaces
The villa sleeps twelve guests across six bedrooms and five bathrooms. The rooms incorporate striking modern elements, such as a large round bed, a round mirror, and a suspended black fireplace, which contrast cleanly with the traditional finca exterior. The main living space features a curved built-in sofa and opens directly onto the outdoor terraces.
Outside, an infinity pool extends towards the horizon, bordered by sunloungers, wooden decking, and a large lawn area. From the pergolas and terraces, guests have clear views over the Mediterranean Sea, the protected wetlands of Ses Salinas, and the low silhouette of Formentera. The grounds also include an outdoor kitchen and a long al fresco dining table shaded by mature palm trees and bright bougainvillea.
For entertainment and wellness, the property provides a fully fitted kitchen, an indoor bar, and a pool table for long evenings. Guests also have access to a games room, table tennis, a private disco room, gym equipment, and dedicated areas for yoga and massage.
Pacing Your Days
Villa Margo is highly adaptable, suiting families, groups of friends, and private wellness retreats. The expansive, fenced grounds, safety box, and alarm system provide a secure environment, while the layout of two connected houses allows large groups to share the space comfortably. The estate is also equipped to host weddings and special events.
A typical day might begin with morning yoga on the dedicated deck or a workout using the fitness equipment. Afternoons are spent moving between the infinity pool and the shaded lounging areas, watching the light shift across the salt flats with a drink in hand. As evening approaches, the group can gather at the bar or fire up the outdoor kitchen for dinner, followed by music in the club room.
Exploring San José and the Coast
Located in the municipality of San José, the villa sits in an upscale region known for its pine forests, premium properties, and prime coastline. The village of San José rests beneath Sa Talaia, Ibiza’s highest peak, serving as a stylish yet relaxed hub with excellent gastronomy and local amenities.
The location is particularly convenient for coastal exploration. The salt flats and the beaches of Ses Salines and Es Cavallet are just a short drive away. For a change of scenery, the western coves of Cala Tarida and Cala Vadella are easily accessible, as are the nearby villages of Es Cubells and the vibrant streets of Ibiza Town.
