Historic architecture and contemporary design
Can Nora is a 600-year-old historic hacienda set within a working olive plantation, surrounded by the green mountains of Ibiza's rural centre. The property has been carefully restored to preserve its authentic character, maintaining traditional elements like exposed sabina wooden ceilings and thick cal-white stone walls. The sprawling estate provides a distinct sense of space and freedom, allowing guests to easily spread out across the grounds.
Inside, the living areas are spacious and filled with natural light. The main lounge includes a fireplace and a curated reading selection, providing a quiet space to unwind. Contemporary interior design features sit alongside traditional Ibicencan architecture, creating a comfortable environment that respects the history of the building without compromising on modern standards.
Bedrooms, living spaces and the gardens
The villa accommodates up to twelve guests across six large bedrooms, each equipped with high-speed wifi and air conditioning. Four of the bedrooms are located within the main house, while two external rooms have their own private entrances for added independence. The primary bedroom features a large king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. The remaining rooms offer flexible configurations, including queen beds and singles that can be joined into kings, with most benefiting from their own en-suite showers.
A traditional, fully fitted kitchen serves the indoor and outdoor dining spaces. The extensive grounds feature a large swimming pool flanked by sunloungers and a flat lawn area. Guests can make use of the barbecue and al fresco dining setup, or retreat to one of the secluded outdoor chill-out spaces spread across the fragrant gardens, which are planted with ancient trees, cactuses, and local flowers.
Hosting groups and daily routines
With its separate external bedrooms and multiple lounge areas, the house is well-suited for extended families, groups of friends, or couples sharing a holiday. The layout ensures privacy for all guests, while the large patio and adjoining converted barn provide excellent facilities for hosting larger celebrations, weddings, or private events. Security features include an alarm system and a safety box.
Mornings here begin with breakfast on the terrace, looking out over the country views and the olive trees. Days are spent moving between the swimming pool and the shaded chill-out areas, listening to the outdoor music system or watching satellite TV in the main lounge. By late afternoon, the group can gather for a barbecue before walking into the nearby village for the evening.
Santa Gertrudis and the surrounding area
The property is located just a short walk from the centre of Santa Gertrudis, the island's stylish geographic centre. This car-light village square is known for its chic, bohemian atmosphere, offering a high concentration of art galleries, delis, and acclaimed restaurants. Surrounded by sought-after country estates, the area appeals to privacy seekers and foodies looking to experience Ibiza's inland gastronomy.
Because of its central position, the villa provides straightforward access to every coast. The beaches of Benirràs and Cala Llonga are just a short drive away, avoiding long cross-island journeys. The nearby village of San Lorenzo and the larger coastal town of Santa Eulalia offer further dining and shopping options, while Ibiza Town is also easily reached for evening trips.
