A Restored 150-Year-Old Finca
Built over a century and a half ago, Villa Reina retains the thick white walls and traditional arches characteristic of classic Ibicenco architecture. The recent renovation respects the original structure while introducing modern comforts. Inside, the spaces receive plenty of natural sunlight, illuminating the terracotta floors and exposed wooden ceiling beams visible in the living areas.
The interior design leans into a bohemian aesthetic, mixing vintage-style furniture with contemporary amenities. A well-equipped, modern kitchen provides the necessary appliances for preparing meals at home, while unlimited drinking water and a high-speed internet connection ensure practical needs are met. The layout includes various quiet corners, allowing guests to find space to read or rest away from the main group.
Six Bedrooms and Expansive Terraces
The property accommodates up to twelve guests across six double bedrooms, supported by four bathrooms. The sleeping quarters feature traditional elements like wooden window shutters and terracotta tiles, with some rooms offering classic wooden sleigh beds. In the main living room, a vintage sofa, a textured rug and an ornate chandelier create a comfortable central gathering point.
Outside, the grounds are fenced and face the open countryside. The swimming pool is bordered by a stone terrace equipped with red sunloungers and shaded by white parasols. A large daybed under a canvas sail sits beside tall cypress trees, offering a clear view of the water. Additional terraces provide distinct vantage points for watching the sunrise or moonrise over the rural landscape.
Designed for Families and Retreats
With its generous outdoor spaces and dedicated facilities, the property suits large families, groups of friends or wellness retreats. A purpose-built indoor yoga shala features a smooth wooden floor and heating for the cooler months of spring and autumn. During the summer, morning practice can move to the outdoor wooden deck.
Children have access to a dedicated play area complete with a trampoline and table tennis. A typical afternoon might involve lunch prepared on the barbecue and served at the al fresco dining area. As the temperature drops, guests can gather on the comfortable outdoor seating under the trees, while the included mid-week refreshment cleaning and pool towels reduce the daily workload.
Inland Access from Santa Gertrudis
Villa Reina is situated in the countryside just outside Santa Gertrudis, the geographic centre of the island. This car-light village is known for its bohemian atmosphere, defined by a central square surrounded by art galleries, independent delicatessens and highly regarded restaurants. The immediate area is characterised by established country estates and agricultural land.
The central location provides straightforward routes to different parts of the coast. The beaches of Benirràs and Cala Llonga are easily reached by car, as are the nearby villages of San Lorenzo and the coastal town of Santa Eulalia. For evening entertainment or a change of pace, the restaurants and nightlife venues of Ibiza Town are a short drive to the south.
