A restored finca in the northern hills
Can Octavia is a traditional finca in the northern countryside of San Lorenzo that has been carefully restored to retain its original character. The architecture centres on classic whitewashed walls and exposed stone masonry, reflecting the island's rural heritage. Inside, the spaces are bright and flooded with natural light, balancing historical features with bohemian chic furnishings.
The layout provides a strong sense of independence, making it highly practical for extended families travelling together. The main house serves as the central gathering space, complete with an open fireplace in the welcoming living room, a dining room, a bar, and a fully fitted kitchen. From here, the property expands into three independent living quarters, ensuring everyone has their own space to rest at the end of the day.
Four independent living spaces and extensive grounds
The six bedrooms and six bathrooms are distributed across four distinct buildings. The main house holds three bedrooms and four bathrooms, alongside the primary living areas. A side house includes a further bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining room, and its own kitchen. Two additional bedrooms are located in the annex and the pool house, each offering a private bathroom, living room, and a separate entrance. Air conditioning is fitted in all six bedrooms.
Outside, the fully fenced grounds are landscaped with mature plants, palm trees, and vibrant bougainvillea. A large swimming pool is bordered by terracotta terraces and sunloungers, leading to a shaded al fresco dining area equipped with a barbecue.
The estate is set up for active days in the sun. The grounds include a private tennis court, a football pitch, and a basketball hoop, alongside a dedicated play area for children. Adults can also make use of the outdoor gym and fitness equipment before cooling off in the pool.
Active days and quiet evenings for families
With its multiple independent living spaces and extensive sports facilities, this estate is highly suited to multi-generational families. The owners specifically prefer family bookings, and the layout allows grandparents, parents, and children to share the grounds while maintaining their own private quarters.
A typical morning begins with breakfast under the shaded terrace, followed by a tennis match or a casual game of football on the private pitch. As the afternoon warms up, the focus shifts to the swimming pool and the surrounding sun terraces. The property is equipped with a music system and Wi-Fi, allowing you to set the tone for a relaxed afternoon in the countryside.
Evenings at the villa are defined by the rural setting. Because San Lorenzo is known for its dark skies, dinner at the al fresco table often transitions into stargazing. The outdoor barbecue and fully equipped kitchens make it simple to prepare meals at home, enjoying the total peace of the inland hills.
San Lorenzo and the northern coastline
The villa is located in San Lorenzo, a tiny inland hamlet in the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja. This area is prized for its absolute privacy and rural character, offering a quiet alternative to the busier coastal resorts. The surrounding landscape consists of lush green countryside and traditional farmland.
Despite the secluded feel, the location is highly connected to the north's best villages and gastronomy. Santa Gertrudis, San Juan, and San Carlos are all a short drive away, providing easy access to local markets like Las Dalias and a variety of excellent restaurants.
When you want to spend a day by the sea, the northern beaches of Benirràs, Cala Xarraca, and Portinatx are easily accessible. For a change of pace, the dancing and dining destinations of Ibiza Town are also just a short drive south, allowing you to experience the island's energy before returning to the quiet of the finca.
