A thoughtful layout in the northern hills
Situated in the quiet rural hills of San Lorenzo, Can Alivia is a highly private four-bedroom property surrounded by mature pine trees. The architecture intelligently divides the home into two self-contained suites, allowing a group of eight to share the grounds while maintaining distinct personal spaces. The property is fully fenced, ensuring a secure and peaceful environment throughout your stay.
The interior design balances earthy tones with modern comforts, incorporating air conditioning, satellite television, and a fully fitted kitchen for preparing meals at home.
Outside, a cascading waterfall feature introduces a calm rhythm to the stone terraces. The layout encourages guests to gather in the communal areas or retreat to their respective wings when they prefer a quieter moment to themselves.
Spacious terraces and independent suites
Each of the two separate suites contains two bedrooms with their own en-suite bathrooms, making four bedrooms and four bathrooms in total. The sleeping quarters are equipped with safety boxes and maintain a cool temperature throughout the summer thanks to the air conditioning.
The outdoor areas are arranged across wide stone terraces that look out over the northern countryside. A large swimming pool is bordered by a neat lawn and sunloungers, providing a clear focal point for the exterior spaces.
Adjacent to the house, deep chill-out sofas and a spacious al fresco dining area sit under shaded pergolas. Guests can prepare meals on the barbecue and eat outside, accompanied by the outdoor music system and sweeping views of the rural landscape.
Shared moments and individual routines
The division of the house into two independent two-bedroom suites makes it an excellent choice for two families or a group of couples travelling together. It allows everyone to keep their own schedule, meeting up by the pool in the afternoon or dispersing to their own quarters in the evening.
A typical day begins with coffee on the terrace, perhaps followed by a short trip to the nearby Atzaro gardens. The afternoons naturally centre around the swimming pool and the shaded outdoor seating areas.
As night falls, the complete lack of light pollution in this remote inland hamlet makes it a superb location for stargazing. The outdoor dining table serves as the primary gathering spot for long, relaxed dinners under a dark sky.
Exploring San Lorenzo and the northern coast
San Lorenzo is a small, quiet village in the north of Ibiza, known for its dark skies and agricultural surroundings. Staying here means waking up to complete silence, yet you remain a short drive from the island's renowned gastronomy and markets. Santa Gertrudis, San Juan, and San Carlos are all nearby, offering a variety of local restaurants and independent boutiques.
For days by the sea, the northern bay of Benirràs is easily accessible, as are the eastern coastal spots of Cala Nova and Cala Llenya. The larger town of Santa Eulalia provides further options for shopping and dining along the waterfront.
On weekends, the area comes alive with local culture. You can visit the famous Las Dalias market, or take a short drive to the San Juan hippy market on Sundays to browse local crafts and produce before returning to the absolute privacy of the villa.
