Villa Cala Tarida Rafael brings together the classic architecture of a traditional Ibizan finca with completely updated, modern interiors. The property has been recently redesigned, focusing on natural materials and a calm, neutral colour palette that runs through the living spaces. The result is a quiet, comfortable environment that feels grounded in its Mediterranean setting.
A distinct feature of the layout is the separation of the kitchen and indoor dining space, which are located in a dedicated annex. This configuration keeps the main house quiet and separates the cooking and entertaining areas from the main living and sleeping quarters.
King-size bedrooms and expansive pool decks
The house accommodates up to five guests across three air-conditioned bedrooms, each furnished with a 180 by 200 centimetre king-size bed. The primary bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. The second and third bedrooms share a well-appointed family bathroom, which also features a shower.
Outside, the grounds are built around a nine by five metre swimming pool, bordered by extensive wooden decking and sunbeds. Multiple terraces step down the hillside, providing clear sightlines over the pine trees toward the sea at Cala Tarida.
The exterior spaces are set up for spending long days outside. There is a large lounge bed covered by a canopy, a shaded chill-out zone for reading, and an outdoor dining table with seating for six.
Comfortable family living on the west coast
Sleeping five guests, this property works well for a family or a small group of friends wanting a comfortable base on the west coast. The inclusion of a dedicated children’s play area makes it highly practical for parents travelling with younger kids, allowing adults to relax on the sun deck while keeping watch.
A typical day here starts with coffee on one of the upper terraces, looking out over the water. After a morning swimming in the nine-metre pool or reading in the shaded lounge area, afternoons often shift to the outdoor dining space. As evening approaches, the west-facing position provides clear views of the famous Ibizan sunset directly from the house.
Exploring the sandy shores of Cala Tarida
The villa is located in the residential hills just behind Cala Tarida, one of the larger sandy beaches on the west coast. The area is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, steady holiday appeal, and a good selection of resort amenities. Down at the shore, you will find broad stretches of sand and shallow waters.
Beyond Cala Tarida, the immediate coastline offers access to quieter coves like Cala Molí and Cala Codolar. If you want to explore further, the traditional village of San José is a short drive inland, offering local restaurants and shops.
For a change of pace, the sheltered bay of Cala Vadella is nearby, while the larger town of San Antonio sits to the north, providing wider dining and maritime options.
