A modern coastal home in Cap Martinet
Villa Wave sits on an elevated plot in Cap Martinet, looking out over the Mediterranean Sea towards the neighbouring island of Formentera. The property is positioned within a private nature resort, framed by green lawns and mature palm trees. It is a quiet environment, yet the energy of Ibiza Town is only a short drive away.
The feeling inside is light and contemporary. Clean lines and large sliding glass doors draw in the natural daylight, while the main lounge connects seamlessly to the outdoor terrace, allowing the sea breeze to flow through the open living spaces. A Sonos sound system and full air conditioning ensure the environment remains comfortable and atmospheric throughout the day.
Sea views and spacious terraces
The outdoor areas centre around a rectangular swimming pool, bordered by a pale terrace with wooden sun loungers and fringed umbrellas. An outdoor living space sits under a retractable awning, providing a shaded spot with deep sofas. Nearby, an outdoor bar area is set up for evening drinks, while the elevated position secures clear views of the water from almost every angle.
Indoors, the contemporary kitchen is fitted with an induction cooker, a Nespresso machine, and a dishwasher, serving a bright dining area. The ground floor holds three bedrooms sharing two bathrooms, one being en-suite, plus a convenient guest washroom.
The first floor is dedicated to the master suite, which includes a king-size bed, a walk-in closet, a private lounge, and a large en-suite bathroom. This room opens onto its own terrace. A fifth bedroom operates as an independent space with a private entrance and an en-suite bathroom, offering a degree of separation from the main house.
Settling into island life
Sleeping up to ten guests, the layout works well for families or groups of friends who appreciate having both shared entertaining areas and private quarters. The separate guest room is particularly useful for those who prefer an independent schedule, while the main house gathers everyone together around the open-plan lounge and pool.
Mornings often begin with coffee from the Nespresso machine, taken out on the master terrace to watch the sea. Days can be spent moving between the sun loungers and the shaded outdoor sofas, perhaps walking down to the secluded bay just fifty metres from the property. As the afternoon cools, the outdoor bar becomes the natural focal point before heading out for dinner or preparing a meal in the modern kitchen.
Exploring Cap Martinet and Jesús
Cap Martinet is a quiet, coastal enclave that borders the village of Jesús. Known as a leafy, established residential area, Jesús is favoured by year-round residents and families. It offers a convenient base with quick access to local amenities, creating a relaxed, green environment on the edge of the capital.
The location strikes a practical balance between privacy and connectivity. The sandy sweep of Talamanca beach and the restaurants of Marina Botafoch are a very short drive away. For a change of pace, the broader bays of Cala Llonga and the coastal town of Santa Eulalia are easily reached, ensuring the whole eastern coastline is close at hand.
