Inside the Villa
Positioned in the elevated hills of Cap Martinet, Can Balena is a modern, two-storey property built for comfortable island living. The house is fully fenced and secured with an alarm system, offering a quiet environment that remains remarkably close to the island's main hubs.
Inside, the ground floor centres around an open-plan living and dining area, complete with a fireplace and central heating for cooler months, as well as full air conditioning and ceiling fans for the summer. A separate television room provides a dedicated space to unwind, featuring a satellite plasma screen and a music system. The property also includes a fully fitted kitchen, giving guests the space and equipment needed to prepare meals at home.
Fibre optic internet runs throughout the property, ensuring reliable connectivity. For those looking to relax fully, the villa includes a private sauna and two safety deposit boxes for secure storage.
Bedrooms and Outdoor Spaces
The villa accommodates up to eight guests across four bedrooms, all of which have views of the sea. Two of the bedrooms are doubles, each featuring its own en-suite bathroom. The remaining two bedrooms are set up as twin rooms and share a third family bathroom.
Outside, the grounds are built around a large infinity pool that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding pine trees. The stone terrace is lined with blue sun loungers and a hammock, creating multiple spots to rest in the sun. A Bluetooth outdoor music system allows guests to play their own audio while swimming or relaxing.
The outdoor spaces are well-equipped for dining and lounging. A covered barbecue area with a sink and built-in cushioned seating sits near the pool. Across the grounds, you will find shaded chill-out zones, including a carved wooden Thai daybed set among the trees. An upper-floor roof terrace provides additional daybeds and sun loungers for elevated sea views.
Daily Life at Can Balena
Can Balena is highly practical for families and groups of friends who want a quiet base with immediate access to Ibiza Town. The layout allows a group of eight to spend time together on the main pool terrace or find their own space on the upper balconies and shaded garden areas.
A typical morning might begin with coffee on the roof terrace, looking out over the water, followed by a swim in the infinity pool. After preparing lunch in the fully fitted kitchen, guests can eat outside at the al fresco dining table or fire up the barbecue in the outdoor kitchen.
In the afternoon, the shaded wooden daybeds offer a cool place to read or sleep. As evening approaches, the proximity to the capital means you can easily drive down for dinner at Marina Botafoch, or simply stay in, use the sauna, and listen to music on the outdoor speakers as the sun goes down.
Exploring Cap Martinet and Jesús
Cap Martinet is an established residential neighbourhood on the edge of Ibiza Town. It provides a green environment that is popular with year-round residents and visitors alike. From the villa, it is a short five-minute drive down to the village of Jesús.
Jesús is a leafy, convenient village that bridges the gap between the capital and the eastern bays. It offers quick access to local amenities and is a straightforward drive to the nearby coastal town of Santa Eulalia.
For beach days, the wide, sandy bay of Talamanca is just five minutes away by car, offering shallow waters and a long wooden boardwalk. The smaller cove of Playa de Estanyol is equally close. When you want to visit the capital, the historic centre of Ibiza Town and the modern berths of Marina Botafoch are both reached in under ten minutes.
